Blackout II: Summer edition

Our power is out. Again. We are nearing the 12 hour mark. This time, I wasted no time transferring the contents of our fridge to an ice chest. Also? We now have a battery powered camping lamp (not that you need one in the Northwest in July, when there is 6.3 hours of darkness, total). As I manually heaved our thousand pound garage door open this morning to let in the 90 degree heat, I knew that this time around, thanks to November 2006, I am just slightly more prepared for the end of the world.
